The Consumer Product Safety Commission just made Rock Shox’s voluntary recall of Domain 302 and 318 forks formal. The recall only effects those forks with steel steerer tubes, likely original equipment on a handful of bikes. The steel can crack and potentially cause the fork lowers to detach from the steerer leading to what bad things one might imagine would result from the instantaneous evaporation of one’s front wheel.
